Belavia or Belavia Belarusian Airlines is the national airline of Belarus. It was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Minsk. From Minsk airport it operates scheduled and charter international flights to the CIS countries, Europe and Asia.
In the first years of the airline's operations, it flew to major destinations in Europe such as London, Paris and Rome. It has also operated flights to distant intercontinental destinations such as Beijing. Over the years, the airline has expanded its flight network. Today it occupies a leading position in passenger air transport in the Belarusian market.

Check-in at self check-in kiosks opens 22 hours before the scheduled departure time and ends 60 minutes before.
The airline allows only 5 kg of cabin baggage, the dimensions of which do not exceed 55x40x25 cm, on charter flights. On scheduled flights, you have the same baggage allowance of 10 kg for economy class and 2 pieces of 10 kg for business class.
In addition to the cabin baggage allowance, you can also take a small handbag, briefcase, backpack, laptop, camera, umbrella or walking stick with dimensions of 5 kg and not exceeding 40x30x10 cm.
You can take baby food or baby items to the plane free of charge during the flight for baby care. A child who does not occupy a separate seat in the cabin is entitled to 10 kg of luggage.
Passengers with reduced mobility may carry crutches or walking sticks in the cabin free of charge.
The sum of the three dimensions of checked baggage on Belavia airlines should not exceed 158 cm. Depending on the fare type, the passenger's checked baggage allowance may vary. Members with Belavia Leader Gold status have 1 piece of 32 kg baggage allowance in addition to the existing baggage allowance in Light, Smart, Flex, Business classes. Silver status members receive 1 piece of 23 kg additional baggage allowance in Smart, Flex and Business classes.
The weight of bicycles, golf equipment, ski equipment, surfing, windsurfing, bowling, badminton, tennis, squash, fishing equipment, diving equipment must not exceed 23 kg and the sum of the three dimensions must not exceed 210 cm. If it meets these conditions, it is carried free of charge in addition to the free baggage allowance in Smart, Flex and Business tariffs.
Carrying an additional set of sports equipment or exceeding the allowable weight will be charged € 50 / US $ 60 / £ 50.
Small musical instruments not exceeding the specified weight and size are transported within the free baggage allowance. Larger ones can be carried as excess (special) luggage for €50 / US$60 / £50. When carrying an instrument on the passenger seat, its weight should not exceed 84 kg and its dimensions should not exceed 135x50x30 cm.
Passengers traveling with Belavia have the opportunity to choose a seat. The seat selection fee is determined depending on the seat category, the price applied on the ticket, the participant's status in the Belavia Leader program and other conditions. The cost of choosing a seat ranges from 5 to 30 euros. In addition, seat selection is provided free of charge for business class passengers on Belavia airlines.
