Cheap SunExpress Flights

Sunexpress, one of the largest Turkish air carriers, is a joint venture between the flagship of the Turkish civil aviation Turkish Airlines and the German national airline Lufthansa. Since the founding of the company in 1989, its activities were aimed at the development of air communication between the Republic of Turkey and Germany (13 airports) and other European countries (France, Austria, the Netherlands, etc.), which would contribute to the development of tourism.

Airline is headquartered in Antalya, Turkey and serves a wide network of domestic destinations connecting Antalya, Istanbul and Izmir with many cities and small airports. Airline operates a fleet of Boeing aircraft, including the Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8.

SunExpress makes it easy for passengers to check-in for their flights. Passengers can check-in online, at the airport, or at a SunExpress kiosk. Online check-in is available up to 24 hours before departure and can be done through the SunExpress website or mobile app. Online check-in service is not available at all airports, only in: Turkey, Germany, airports of Amsterdam, Basel, Vienna, Venice, Zurich.

Passengers who choose to check-in at the airport can do so up to three hours before departure. When checking in at the airport, passengers must present a valid photo ID, such as a passport or identity card, as well as their SunExpress boarding pass.

Carry-on baggage

On SunExpress flights, passengers can take one piece of baggage up to 6 kg into the cabin. Luggage should not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm and should be easily stowable. In addition, one personal item such as a handbag, camera, jacket/coat, walking stick or carrycot can be taken to the aircraft. Valuables and medicines should always be carried in hand luggage, not checked luggage.

Carry-on baggage that exceeds the size and weight guidelines may be refused by the airline, or the passenger may be asked to pay an excess baggage fee for it. Sharp and pointed objects may also not be carried in hand luggage on a SunExpress flight and will usually be confiscated during a check.

Checked Baggage

On domestic flights in Turkey, you are allowed to carry between 15 and 25 kg of baggage per passenger, free of charge, depending on the fare class you choose:

For children under 2 years old on domestic Turkish flights, free baggage allowance up to 15 kg is allowed.

On international flights, travelers can check in luggage weighing between 20 and 40 kg, depending on the fare booked (so-called SunFares). A single piece of baggage must not exceed the maximum weight of 32 kg.

Passengers with babies or small children under the age of two may take an additional 20 kg. In addition, prams, buggies or child car seats can be taken along free of charge. If the baggage allowance is exceeded, passengers must pay an excess baggage fee.

Special Luggage

If you wish to carry small musical instruments in the cabin, standard hand luggage rules apply. If the musical instrument exceeds the allowable carry-on baggage dimensions, additional seats must be purchased by contacting the airline. When carrying a musical instrument on the passenger seat, its weight should not exceed 80 kg, its dimensions should not exceed 135x50x30 cm.

Sports equipment weighing up to 30 kg is transported for a fixed fee. If the sports equipment exceeds this limit, an excess baggage fee of 10 € per kilogram is applied.

You can choose your seat on SunExpress flights when you buy your flight ticket or after you make your reservation. On domestic flights, a standard seat can be reserved for 12.99 ₺, and an XLeg seat with more legroom can be reserved for 64.99 ₺. On international flights, a standard seat can be booked for € 2.99, and an XLeg seat with more legroom can be reserved for € 10.99.

SunExpress offers a loyalty program called SunExpress your benefits, which rewards its customers for their loyalty. Customers can earn points for every flight they take with SunExpress, as well as other activities such as shopping and dining. These points can then be used to redeem rewards such as flight discounts, upgrades and special offers.

In addition to the points you will earn by purchasing additional services in the SunExpress your benefits program, you are also entitled to one free flight for every 10 flights you take. By opening a Family Account, you can collect points together and access free benefits much faster.

Depending on your fare level you purchase (SunEco, SunClassic or SunPremium), airline meals may or may not be included in the price of your ticket.

SunEco: Meals are not included in the base fare. However, food or drink is purchased during the flight from SunCafé. If you are traveling abroad, you can order a hot meal 36 hours before your flight takes off.

SunClassic: A snack box with sweet and salty snacks is served next to it.

SunPremium: In addition to 1 hot Pizza, a sweet and salty snack box and 1 soft drink are served.

SunExpress offers a wide selection of in-flight entertainment for its passengers. Passengers can choose from a variety of movies, TV shows, games, and music. The airline also offers a selection of magazines, newspapers, and books, as well as Wi-Fi and live TV streaming.

In addition to the in-flight entertainment, SunExpress also offers an in-flight shopping service. Passengers can purchase a variety of items, including duty-free products, gifts, and souvenirs.

SunExpress allows passengers to travel with their pets on their flights. Pets such as cats and dogs must be transported in an approved carrier and checked in at the airport. The sum of the three dimensions of the cage should not exceed 115 cm and the weight (including pets) should not exceed 8 kg.
