Checked Baggage

Aurora Airlines allows passengers to travel with pets under specific conditions, with guidelines for both cabin and hold transportation. For pets traveling in the cabin, they must be transported in a hard or soft carrier that does not exceed 21" x 12" x 10" (44 cm x 30 cm x 26 cm) for hard carriers and 21" x 16" x 8" (55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm) for soft carriers. The total weight of the pet, including the carrier, must not exceed 17 lbs (8 kg). Pets that do not meet these criteria must be transported in the aircraft hold. For pets traveling in the hold, the carrier must be made of impact-proof hard material and secured with metal bolts and nuts. It should provide enough space for the pet to stand, turn around, and lie down comfortably, with maximum dimensions of 35" L x 23" W x 80" H (90 cm x 60 cm x 80 cm).

There are restrictions on certain breeds and animal types. Brachycephalic (snub-nosed) dog breeds are not accepted due to potential health risks. Additionally, sick animals, laboratory animals, reptiles, rodents, insects, fish, livestock, wild animals, vermin, and bees are not permitted on board. A fee of $50 applies for pet transportation. Passengers planning to travel with pets should contact Aurora Airlines in advance to confirm availability and ensure all pet travel requirements are met.
