BMTC's Vayu Vajra buses offer direct services between the city center and the airport with air-conditioned Volvo and new electric AC buses. Currently, there is no direct metro connection to the airport. However, the Namma Metro Blue Line extension is under construction and expected to be operational by mid-2026, connecting Central Silk Board to the airport. Until then, travelers can take the metro to Hebbal or Krishnarajapuram and continue by taxi or bus.

Average fares range from ₹1000 to ₹1200, and the journey typically takes 50 to 60 minutes depending on traffic.

Designated taxi queues are available outside the arrival terminal for arriving passengers. Taxis are a safe option, especially at night, and use a fixed fare system to avoid unexpected charges. Some hotels also offer pre-arranged taxi services for their guests.

App-based ride services like Uber and Ola are commonly used for airport transfers in Bangalore. Fares vary based on time, traffic, and vehicle type, typically ranging from ₹1000 to ₹1800. The apps also provide real-time travel estimates, which help with planning.
